The Facilities Services team manages a variety of projects across the College.
April 2025 Updates
Project Updates as of April 18, 2025
Description: Seminar Room 111 will be converted into an accessible graduate student lounge.
Status: This project awarded and demolition began over spring break. The balance of the work will begin May14.
Impacts: There will be some construction activity and intermittent noise. Room 111 is off-line.
Description: We continue the phased renovation of Park Science that now includes renovations to the Collier Library and select areas of the Biology wing.
Status: The areas now under construction, including the Biology wing and the Collier Library, are now isolated. Construction will be completed by the fall semester 2025.
Impact: There will be some intermittent noise. We are working with those affected to manage the impacts. Any utility interruptions as noted above will be planned and communicated in advance with the affected groups. The Biology east stair well be closed for spring semester.
Description: We will be painting select light poles on Campus.
Status: This work will start Monday, 4/21 in the area between Merion and Radnor.
Impacts: There will activity around the poles as they will be sanded, prepped and then painted.
Description: Rebuild Rhoads Patio, rebuild the waling path and regrade to make the patio accessible. Landscaping will also be installed.
Status: Work has resumed on the project over spring break. We are targeting a May 2nd completion .
Impacts: There will be some noise. The most noisy operations will be limited to after 8:00 am
Description:The fire panel in Goodhart will be upgraded
Status:This the work take place the week of April 21.
Impacts: Minimal Impacts.
Description: We will begin transitioning the building systems from heating to cooling.
Status: This the work begin the week of April 21. It will take approximately two weeks
Impacts: This will alleviate over heating on warmer days, but will limit our ability to provide heat on cooler days.
